Taking on new iOS projects for Q4 2026

iOS apps built by people who have shipped them for 14 years.

Quantum IT is a small iOS studio in Croatia. We take products from first sketch to the App Store in Swift and SwiftUI — and we write the kind of code that is still easy to change two years later.

Free 30-minute scope call. No pitch deck, no account managers — you talk to the engineer who would build it.

Production experience across

  • Connected home & IoT
  • Banking & fintech
  • Aviation
  • Pharmacy & health
  • Automotive & e-mobility
  • Media & video
  • Consumer apps & games

Our engineering has led iOS work on products used by tens of thousands of people every day — among them a connected-home security camera platform, a US digital bank, an airline document system, and an AR antenna-alignment tool built for disaster-relief field operatives.

What we do

Four ways we usually come in

Most engagements start as one of these. If yours doesn't fit neatly, say so on the call — we would rather scope it honestly than sell you a package.

New iOS apps, end to end

From a rough idea to a live App Store listing. We scope it, design the architecture, build it in Swift and SwiftUI, and take it through review ourselves.

  • Discovery, scope and a fixed proposal
  • SwiftUI, UIKit, widgets, watchOS
  • App Store submission and review handling

Rescue & modernize

Inherited an Objective-C codebase, a stalled project, or an app that crashes more than it should? We stabilize it first, then make it changeable again.

  • Crash and memory-leak triage
  • Objective-C to Swift, UIKit to SwiftUI
  • Releases moving again within weeks

Monetization & launch

Shipping is not launching. Paywalls, subscriptions and store presence, built by people who run their own apps on the same stack.

  • RevenueCat, StoreKit 2, paywall testing
  • App Store optimization and press kits
  • Privacy manifests and review-proof metadata

Ongoing product partner

A retainer for the part nobody quotes for: iOS version upgrades, new features, CI, crash triage, and being reachable when something breaks on a Friday.

  • Monthly retainer, clear hours
  • CI/CD and TestFlight pipelines
  • Annual iOS and Xcode migrations

Android Soon

We are deliberately iOS-only today, because that is where our depth is. Android is on the roadmap — if you need both platforms, tell us on the call and we will be straight with you about timing.

Proof of work

We ship our own apps, too

Client work is the business. Our own apps are how we stay honest: same App Store review, same paywalls, same crash reports, same two-star opinions. Every decision we recommend to you is one we have already paid for ourselves.

Drift

Your life in weeks

A private digital-wellbeing app that draws your life as roughly 4,170 weeks and shades the ones ahead by where your evenings actually go. No account, no cloud, no streaks.

Kern

Remember what you read

Turns a finished book into original spaced-repetition cards from the title alone. The Wall shows your books fading the way memory actually fades — and lets you stop it.

Moon Nest

Calm bedtime ritual & stories

A structured wind-down for families: personalized stories where the child is the hero, and connection prompts before lights out. Built by a parent, for the hour that decides the night.

Last Echo

Survival diary: narrative choices in collapse

A swipe-driven survival game with four visible needs and five hidden personality axes. It is not really about surviving — it is about who you slowly become when surviving is all that is left.

The Crossing Point

Have the hard conversation

A single-use app that walks you to the conversation you have been avoiding: name it, face the fear, decide what needs saying, put it in the calendar. Collects no data at all.

Earlier work

Retired, but worth knowing

Comic Battle — real-time PvP with a custom TCP layer written from scratch; winner of "Most Visually Impressive Game", raywenderlich.com Readers' App Awards 2015. Define It! — a vocabulary builder past 80,000 downloads. Cherished — 1,000+ hand-made artworks for new parents.

How we work

No surprises, in four steps

The most expensive part of app development is not the code. It is the month spent building the wrong thing. So we spend the first week making sure we are not.

Scope call

Thirty minutes, free. You describe the product; we ask the awkward questions and tell you plainly whether we are the right studio for it.

Fixed proposal

A written scope with what is in, what is deliberately out, a timeline and a price. Anything we cannot estimate confidently, we say so instead of padding it.

Two-week increments

A TestFlight build every two weeks, on your device, from the first increment. You see the real app early, not screenshots at the end.

Launch & hand over

We submit, handle review, and hand you the repository, CI pipeline and documentation. You own the code — with or without us.

Why us

Code that survives the person who wrote it

Anyone can get an app onto the store once. The difference shows up in month fourteen, when a new requirement arrives and the codebase either absorbs it or fights it.

We build as if we will be the ones maintaining it in three years. Often, we are.

Senior engineers only

No junior work billed at senior rates, and no layer of account managers between you and the person writing the code.

Architecture chosen, not inherited

Clean Architecture, MVVM and SOLID applied where they earn their keep — and skipped where they would only add ceremony.

CI from day one

Automated builds, tests and TestFlight distribution set up in week one. On one project it saved the team half an hour, every day.

Privacy as a default, not a setting

We ship apps that collect nothing unless the product genuinely needs it. It is a better position with users, and with App Review.

You own everything

Repository, certificates, App Store Connect, pipelines and documentation are yours from the start. No lock-in, ever.

Written estimates, kept

Seven years of remote client work across twelve projects and several timezones taught us to get scope and API contracts in writing before anyone opens Xcode.

Questions

The things everyone asks first

What does an iOS app cost?
It depends entirely on scope, and any studio that quotes before hearing yours is guessing. A focused, single-purpose app is usually a few weeks of work; a product with accounts, payments, a backend and an admin side is months. After the scope call you get a written, fixed proposal — so you decide with a number in front of you, not a range.
How long until my app is in the App Store?
Small, well-scoped apps have gone from kickoff to live in six weeks — we have done exactly that for a social network built from scratch. Most projects land between two and four months. You will have a TestFlight build in your hands well before the end.
Do we get the source code?
Yes, all of it, from the first commit. The repository, CI pipeline, signing setup and documentation are yours. If you later want to bring development in-house or move to another team, nothing about our setup makes that harder.
Can you take over an app someone else built?
Often, yes — it is one of the more common reasons people call. We start with a short paid audit: what the codebase is, what it will cost to make it safe to change, and whether rewriting a part of it is genuinely cheaper than repairing it. You get that assessment in writing before committing to anything further.
Do you build Android too?
Not yet. We are iOS-only on purpose — that is where fourteen years of depth actually sits, and a studio that claims equal mastery of everything usually has it in nothing. Android is on the roadmap. If your product needs both platforms now, tell us on the call and we will give you an honest answer rather than a hopeful one.
Where are you based, and how do we work together?
Croatia, in the EU, on Central European Time — comfortable overlap with the rest of Europe and with the US East Coast in the mornings. We have spent seven years working remotely with clients across twelve projects and several timezones, so async is the default: written updates, recorded walkthroughs, and calls only when a call is genuinely the faster tool.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes. Send yours over before the scope call, or use ours. Quantum IT d.o.o. is a registered Croatian company and invoices within the EU, VAT included where applicable.
Let's talk

Tell us what you are trying to build

A paragraph is enough to start. What the app should do, who it is for, and roughly when you need it live. You will get a real reply from an engineer within one working day.
